Background
I work as a quality manager in the automotive industry. Before moving into quality I was a project manager on automotive projects, so I know both sides: launching a product on time and keeping it capable once it runs in series production. Process capability studies, MSA, 8D reports, FMEA and audits are part of my everyday work, and these tools are the ones I wanted to have myself.
Outside work I spend my free time on the bike.
Why these tools exist
Quality engineers spend a lot of time copying measurements between spreadsheets and expensive statistics packages, then translating the numbers into a decision. QM Bench aims to give the decision directly: capable or not, stable or not, acceptable or not, with the statistics behind it validated and visible.
