Action priority (AP)

AIAG-VDA FMEA risk ranking

Introduced by the AIAG-VDA FMEA handbook (2019) to replace the RPN. A table assigns High, Medium or Low priority to each combination of severity, occurrence and detection, with severity weighted most. High requires action; Medium requires action or a documented justification.
