production part approval process

The automotive process (AIAG) by which a supplier proves that series production can deliver parts meeting all requirements at the quoted rate. A PPAP includes among others the design records, PFMEA, control plan, MSA studies, dimensional results and initial process studies with Ppk, typically ≥ 1.67.
