How the result is calculated

Each question is rated 0–4. Area and overall results are the percentage of the maximum points. Class A needs at least 85 % overall with every area at least 70 %; class C applies below 70 % or when a critical question is rated 0. Add evidence in the note field for every rating: it makes the result defensible.

Frequently asked questions

›When should a supplier be assessed?

Before nominating a new supplier, when a supplier moves production or adds a site, and when performance drops. The self-assessment is a first filter; high-risk suppliers should get an on-site process audit.

›What are critical questions?

Questions marked with a star (certification, change approval, control of special characteristics, nonconforming product, calibration, complaint handling, traceability). A rating of 0 on any of them limits the result to class C.

›Is this the VDA 6.3 potential analysis?

No. It is our own short questionnaire for a quick risk view. For a formal potential analysis use the VDA 6.3 P1 questionnaire.
